Call For Papers

Parallel to the Descartes Lectures, we host a workshop dedicated to the topic of Science, Values and Democracy. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • science and values
  • scientific objectivity
  • inductive risk
  • science and public policy
  • science and risk assessment
  • the division of epistemic labor
  • the collaborative dimension of science
  • the social dynamics of science
  • the role of science and scientific expertise in modern democracies
  • science communication
We invite submissions of a short abstract (max. 100 words) and an extended abstract (up to 1000 words) through our automatic submission system. The abstract should not contain any identifying information.

The submission deadline is 15 May 2016.

Decisions will be made by 1 June 2016 at the latest.
